Swedish settlers built log cabins here when they first came to Delaware in 1638. Since then, much has changed but our love affair with log homes and cabins has not waned.
Although it is our second smallest state in land mass, Delaware has an active log home market for both sales and custom log and timber frame building. A number of major manufacturers have dealers and model homes in Delaware.
Delaware’s state motto is “Liberty and Independence”. This is appropriate since Delaware was the first state to ratify the United States Constitution.
