Log Homes & Log Cabins FOR SALE

Happy Halloween!

Does anyone know any ghost stories about log homes or log cabins?

We see plenty of articles and photos about Thanksgiving, Christmas, July 4th. etc. being celebrated with a log home backdrop, but I can’t find much about log cabins and ‘Hallowed Eve’.  Do you know any good ghostly log home campfire stories?

I don’t know about you, but I think Halloween is exactly what we need right now.  Seriously, who doesn’t want to pretend they’re someone (or something) else and escape the financial news and political drivel that has been pouring over us for the past few months?  Me?  I’m ready for a holiday and Halloween will do just fine.

This year our family has a reason to be especially excited about Halloween.  For the first time in 10 years, we will have “trick-or-treaters” visit our home.  A family with two young kids moved into our neighbor’s house over the summer and I’ve already been told that they will be knocking on our door.

As a kid, Halloween was one of my favorite holidays.  Other than Christmas, what better time was there than to knock on neighbors’ doors and have them give you candy.  When you’re age is signified by a single digit, a bag full of free candy is the same thing as winning the lottery!

I’ll share a secret… Halloween also happens to be my birthday.  For obvious reasons, I liked celebrating birthdays a lot more when I was kid… today I’m about ready to start counting backwards.  Now THAT would be a reason to celebrate another birthday.  And no, you cannot make a Halloween joke that I haven’t heard.

No serious log home conversation today or news commentary today, just my wish to all – that you and your family have a fun, happy and safe Halloween.  I have to go get ready to entertain our trick-or-treaters!
