2010, Year of the Tiger?

According to the Chinese calendar, 2010 is the Year of the Tiger.  In my mind, a tiger is a much better choice than a rat or a monkey, but I’ve decided to nominate 2010 as the Year of the Log Home.  Now stay with me…

2007 was the Year of the Pig
2008 was the Year of the Rat
2009 was the Year of the Ox

Pigs, rats and cows didn’t seem to have an effect on our economy, and a tiger running loose this year might just keep people indoors.  So, if we take it upon ourselves to designate 2010 as the Year of the Log Home, we just might get people thinking the right way…

2010 is the time to build a log home!

Pass the word, the Chinese calendar has been revised!  This is the year to build a log home because there hasn’t been a better time in decades.  A ‘perfect storm’ in the form of historically low interest rates, decreased costs for wood and all building materials, and log home companies and builders that are ready to break ground tomorrow.  The plan is as simple as 1 – 2 – 3.

  1. Choose your custom log home floor plan
  2. Find the right log home manufacturer
  3. Locate an experienced log home builder

You probably didn’t realize it could be this simple.  If you do your log home research and make the time to attend one of the upcoming log home shows, you can make 2010 the Year of Your Log Home!

Happy New Year!

  • You are right Tom… simple can be productive… we are looking forward to seeing the thousands of show goers are our Log Home and Timber Frame Show coming up this February in Roanoke.
We still have room for more exhibitors too… you can do all the outside marketing you want but talking with the customer face-to-face is the strongest close tactic that I have experienced.
